The issue and answer session is among the easiest tools to improve the relationship. But it’s also one of the most feared.

1. Keep control of the situation.

7. Repeat the actual question back to them.

Duplicating the question in your terms does three things. First, this confirms that you heard their question. It confirms that you will be about to answer their issue and not a different one. And finally provides you a chance to think of a solution!
